DATA PROCESSING ENCODING the MAIL Only 5 or 6 hours per shift-- earn extra $$$ SUMMARY: Ensure mailing addresses are accurately encoded on mail. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Enter zip codes and mailing addresses into data entry system 2. Affix labels to mail 3. Operate a hand or foot activated barcode or optical character reader 4. Meet encoding production standards utilizing proper encoding procedures. 5. Notify Supervisor of all non qualified mail 6. Assist in other areas as needed 7. Management reserves the right to add to or modify the duties and/or responsibilities of Encoders
